Cebu City - How to get there:)

I would just like to share this to you - DISCLAIMER: all information that will be given here are ONLY based on my EXPERIENCE:)

Last Sept. 25, we left manila for CEBU - # 1 thing you should do - BUY YOUR TICKET!:)

This is what we did - Have you heard about the SEAT SALE? I think both Cebu pacific and Philippine air lines have this - however, when the airline announces this, it does not usually last long and if ever you missed one - don't worry, they usually have regular schedule on this "SALE" but when it will come, no one knows:)
*Remember - for you to enjoy this privilege, you should book your tickets as early as possible - The earlier you book, the more discount you get.:)

EXAMPLE:

MANILA - CEBU P999 ALL IN!:)**

** well just be ready for a P200 pesos Terminal fee - because you might be too excited:) hehe
!! and don't worry, seat sale doesn't mean that you'll be in the WORST seats in the plane! for as long as you arrived at the terminal early, you'll have the best seat possible:)

Upon Arriving at MACTAN - CEBU international Airport

This is were all your problems would come!:) hehe! however the only problem that you should think now is your transportation - If you have friends living in Cebu, well it would be better if you'll just ask them to fetch you in the airport.:) and just for you to have an Idea - Taxi (max. 4 people) would charge you at least 400 pesos from the airport to your nearby destination - your fee would depend on how far you'll go. and if you are in a group - like for example 7 or 8 persons, they would usually charge you 800 pesos / more depending again on your destination:)

In this place there is no PINOY / FOREIGNER rate, youll get the same rate. kaya unless you speak cebuano, only until then that they MIGHT give considerations. kung TAGALOG -AAAHHH!!! PERFECT TOURIST PRICE!:) hehehe

WHERE TO STAY

If you have money to spend, well you should really try Shagri-la mactan / Hilton hotel in mactan and waterfront in cebu city (there are several waterfront hotel here - but I'm not sure about their exact location). Luckily we stayed at Shangri-la mactan! (although we don't have money to spend) the place is really awesome - one of a kind SPA and what can I say - Their BEACH is Amazing!:)
If you'll stay in here: YOU DONT NEED TO BRING TOWELS - They are everwere from the SHORE, Pool and to your room:) Hovever, the food is REALLY expensive here.

And if you are on a budget - There are ALOT if small hotels / inn in Cebu and their prices - Their BEST room compared to Shangri-la is 3 days (small hotel) is to 1 Night (in shagri-la) in terms of their Cost! in PESO! hehehe!

FOOD

Well if you don't feel like eating in a expensive hotel there are alot of food choices in cebu, and the best for you to keep your pockets alive is to just buy foods outside! why not try foods that CEBU is popular of: their LECHON!:) Lechon baboy price: P275 - P350 per kilo. and Lechon manok (dont look for brands like andoks etc. dont underestimate the stalls there that has no name - believe me they taste BETTER than Andoks! hehehe) @ P120 - P140 one whole chicken!:) for your rice, they always have PUSO? (Rice cooked inside a coconut leaf) @ P2.50 - P3.00 each.

Lechon manok - 120! Sarap!:)

If you are looking for EAT ALL YOU CAN restos in here - I bet there are alot of them with their prices ranging from P<100 - P200 pesos! one of this is the Majestic Seafood Restaurant- A Chinese Restaurant that offers Eat all you can foods at mactan!:)

TOUR

This is the Van!

men! your only problem is your RIDE! however we got a nice VAN for P350 / hour (GAS included) and this could bring you to places in cebu where you can buy at the best place for your pasalubong:) on the other spots that you sould go - well it well depend on you! but i think you should read about Cebu in advance for you to have and idea and plan your itinerary before traveling:)

TIPS:

1. Dont forget to have a CEBUANO / CEBUANA with you - this is the only way for you to unlock the secrets of this great island. or else.. TADA!!! TOURIST PRICE!!!

2. Guitars - you could buy here guitars for export. the best guitars usually ranges from P3000 - 5000 pesos!:)

3. LOVE THE PULP - Mas mura ng P1.00 ang minute maid dito! wahahaha!:)

4. Bring extra money - you dont want to be left in cebu while all your friends are alrealdy in the plane going home:) hehehe
